This trio of trouble-makers will light up your day and make sure you never have a dull moment when they are awake and around!
Sisters Smokey, Pinkie & Snowy were abandoned at the SPCA in Gatineau, and were transferred to the rescue soon after as they would have a better chance of getting adopted.
As well, Pinkie had a severe inner ear infection upon arrival. She was unable to walk straight or even balance enough to hold food! Poor girl was not doing well at the shelter at all. After 2 months of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication, Pinkie is now zooming around, eating, grooming and playing with her sisters without any problems at all. Unfortunately, due to the severity of her infection and how long it took before she received proper treatment, she will retain a permanent tilt to her head. It does not appear to affect her balance at all.
These girls are an estimated 6-8 months old and still have tons of growing to do.
Below are a few words from their foster parents so you can get to know them better:
“Smokey is very hyper! Why walk when you can run? Why run when you can hop? Why hop when you jump? Always ready for a good time, she will jump on your shoulder so she can see better. This girl is also an expert food-hoarder. Never let her leave your sight as she’ll figure out a way to jump on something she shouldn’t!”

“Pinkie is a very energetic rat. If left out she will run around the whole time! She loves sprinting from one side of the room to the other and goes around eating the treats the other rats hid. Although she has a head tilt, it doesn’t slow her down at all, but makes her look a little goofy when she looks up.”

“Snowy is calmer than her two sisters and is the most likely to come for a cuddle. Don’t wear socks or she’ll nip your toes! And make sure you hide your socks (also papers, cloths, rags or small blankets) as she will steal them and bring them into her nest. Snowy loves to collect everything in sight!”

Meet baby sisters, Pebble and Yukon! Don’t ask us who is who, because thus far, they are pretty identical.
These two baby girls are an estimated 2 months old and unfortunately came from a hoarder who originally had intended to feed them to his snake.
They, along with 21 other albino rats, were surrendered to us when he realized that he just had too many rats!
Pebble and Yukon are slowly coming around under the kindness and persuasion of their foster mom.
They are curious, but still skiddish and don’t enjoy being picked up. However, once you do have them in hand, they are fine with hiding under your hair, or snuggling into a hoodie if possible.
Since they are so young, they simply need more time and someone who can persevere and continue to socialize them.
These girls are extremely active and so need a large cage with lots of hammocks and toys so they can continue to explore and develop into happy, well-socialized rats.

Meet sisters, Angel, Faith & Hope. These 3 sisters were originally purchased from PetSmart and unfortunately, quickly became “too much work” for the girl who originally purchase them. It does not seem that they received any socialization in the most formative months of their lives, but luckily, our experienced foster mom has been able to make huge progress with these girls.
Of the three, Angel and Hope (beige and merle) are the most outgoing and comfortable with humans. They are curious, active, and despite still being a little bit timid, don’t mind being handled. And they certainly LOVE to come out and play.
Unfortunately, Faith (black) is still quite skiddish and will need an understanding home who can continue to work with her insecurities and patiently win over her trust.
If you are looking for a trio of beautiful, playful girls to join your family, please fill out our online adoption application form.

Brothers Jay and Indigo are estimated to be about 3 months old. They are extremely curious, and will climb right up your arm if you let them. Of the two, Indigo (the one with hair) is definitely more active and wants to just run around and do crazy things. Jay, is slightly calmer, but he definitely has his moments too!
These two are still babies and have so much more growing to do. They must be adopted together.
If you are interest in adopting Jay and Indigo, please fill out an adoption application form.

Meet adorable, friendly, super curious brothers, Bruno and Jack.
They absolutely love each other, and their human companions as well. Bruno and Jack love to explore, eat yummy healthy treats and squish together into hammocks or igloos to take naps.
These two boys are an estimated 7-9 months old. They are more or less full grown now, but will probably gain a bit more weight based on how much their foster mom is spoiling them!
Now that Bruno and Jack have been in their foster home for a few weeks, we can see just how fun and playful they are! Respectful dogs don’t bother them. Even rambunctious children don’t bother them as long as these children are taught to be gentle and respectful. They absolutely LOVE to be tickled on their backs and will bounce around in delight. These boys must be adopted together where they will be in a large cage with plenty of time everyday to run around and stretch their legs.
To inquire about adopting Bruno & Jack, please fill out an adoption application form.

Meet brothers, Benny and Hugo. You will not find a more adorable pair anywhere! These brothers were unfortunately surrendered for being “too big”. Realistically, they aren’t even full grown yet at an estimated 5-6 months old.
Of the two, Benny (beige) is slightly more anxious and tends to take a few more days to settle in and get used to new surrounding and new people. He’s incredibly curious and boy or boy can he climb and explore when he wants to.
Hugo on the other hand, is a much more chill rat. He knows what his priorities are (sleep + food). He has his excitable moments, and surprisingly, is actually the more dominant of the two. He keeps Benny in check, usually by draping himself over Benny and grooming his brother’s back.
These boys are looking for a loving home together where they will have plenty of space and lots f attention. They would prefer a calmer home without rambunctious children.
To inquire about adopting Benny and Hugo, please fill out an adoption application form.

Meet Elizabeth (beige) & her sister Margaret (black)
These 2 sisters came from a pretty horrid situation where they lived with 2 others in a tiny cramped cage with no food or toys. They have come a very long way, as all of them were desperately in need of some proper nourishment and socialization.
Of all of them, Elizabeth is the most outgoing. She’s brave, adventurous and actually kind of likes people now. Margaret on the other hand, still needs quite a bit of patience and someone who can take the time to continue her socialization.
If you would like to inquire about giving these girls a loving home where they will continue to grow and flourish, please fill out an adoption application form.

Looking for a sweet, friendly, adorable pair of boys? Look no further.
Hagrid and Hedwig are literally the perfect pair. These brothers love each other, love people and above all, love to socialize. Hagrid especially will always wait for you at the door and come running the moment you call. Hedwig takes a little more time to warm up to you, but as you can see below, he’s not exactly shy either.
Both boys have no flaws when it comes to personality. Hagrid is just a little bit snatchy when he thinks you might have food.
These boys are estimated to be about 6-8 months old. They were unfortunately abandoned at a local shelter, so it is impossible to know their exact age.
If you would like to inquire about adopting these sweet boys, please fill out an online adoption application form.

Meet brothers Teddy & Bear. These two sweethearts were being used as studs in a breeding project. They had a pretty rough start, living in a tiny cramped hamster cage and not given any chance to actually play and be rats. Thankfully, a kind-hearted lady convinced the previous owners to surrender them to her and she provided them with a huge upgrade!
She reached out to us in the hopes of finding them a longer term home and a better chance at finding a forever home.
Both boys are extremely sweet and friendly. Teddy especially is always happy to see you and looks forward to being picked up, carried around, fed delicious treats and coming out to play. Bear is just as curious, but is still a little bit unsure about being picked up. Once he’s out, he’s happy-go-lucky and just as fun to have around.
We estimate these boys to be anywhere between 6 months and 1 year old.
To inquire about adopting these sweet boys, please fill out an adoption application form.

Sweet sisters Amidala & Laiya are estimated to only be about 3 months old.
They unfortunately had to be surrendered when their former human was evicted and had nowhere to go. The girls are extremely tightly bonded and are rarely apart. They are both a little bit shy, but super curious and great with riding your shoulders.
They still have a lot of growing to do, but you’ll have a hard time resisting their gorgeous little faces.
If you have some love and time to spare, Amidala and Laiya would love to join your family!
Please fill out an adoption application form to inquire about adopting these sisters.

Meet Opal and Pirate, two spunky girls who still have a lot of growing to do and tons of energy to expend.
Opal is estimated to be 4 months old. She was spayed when only 3 months old, meaning she will hopefully be much healthier with a drastically LOWER chance of any reproductive cancers. She is a little love bug. She loves to give kisses and always looks for opportunities to scramble into your hand. Once she’s out, she’s quite bossy and confidence. Nothing phases her. She loves to explore, climb, and come back regularly to check on her human.
Pirate was found as a stray rat outside. She is estimated to be 3.5-4 months old. Pirate is not as keen on hands and being held, but she absolutely loves to run and explore. Curiosity is definitely her middle name. You can’t tell in the picture, however Pirate only has 1 eye. Her other eye was badly injured in the past and has completely sunken in. She has been thoroughly examined by a vet who determined that the eye does not bother her, has healed completely and doesn’t affect her ability to enjoy life as usual. It actually adds to Pirate’s charm as she looks like she’s winking all the time.
In order to adopt these two sweet girls, please fill out an adoption application form. Please note, their adoption fee is $80.

Conrad (albino) and Marvin (agouti) grew up together and have never been separated from each other. These two cuddle constantly and when they are in their cage, are often sleeping in a pile, or eating right next to each other.
Of the two, Conrad is brave, outgoing, and extremely confident in himself. People don’t make him nervous at all. He loves to run around on the ground and comes when you call. On the other hand, Marvin is a nervous wreck. New sounds, sudden movements, and especially new people make him want to hide. When he’s not in his cage, he tends to hide, or prefers to be under a blanket. It takes lots of patience, and consistency to win over his trust. We recommend keeping Marvin on a couch or bed where there’s plenty of blankets to ensure he feels safe.
Both boys are estimated to be just over 1 year old.
If you have some extra love to give, you can inquire about adopting these boys by filling out an adoption application form.

Meet this spunky, friendly trio of sisters who had a very rough start to life, but bounced right back to be happy, healthy girls after only a month with the Rescue.
Sparrow, Anamaria & Calypso started life as snake food, lived for months in a plastic bin, spent a few more weeks in a tiny cramped cage with 9 other girls, and finally their life made a turn for the better in February of 2018.
These girls are super active, love to eat, climb and generally be social. They are not wary of hands at all, but honestly prefer to run around, rather than being held. Their ideal home with give them plenty of space to run and explore, as well as lots of time outside their cage.
Due to their stint in less than ideal conditions, all three girls are missing a few toes here and there, as well as tail tips. All these minor injuries have long healed and do not hinder their mobility or dexterity at all.
These three sisters must be adopted together; we will not consider separating them.
To inquire about adopting Sparrow, Anamaria & Calypso, please fill out an Adoption Application form.

These 3 brothers are looking for a loving home together where they will be allowed to gain confidence, grow and play.
Of the three, Clyde, who is estimated to be about 6 months old, is about 3 months older than Huey & Remy. This trio get along wonderfully and are almost always found cuddled together in a hammock or igloo.
With the loving and patient influence of their foster mom, this lively trio have really come out of their shells. They love to cuddle with their foster mom on the bed and are just about the sweetest boys you will ever meet.
To inquire about adopting Clyde, Huey & Remy, please fill out an online adoption application form.

Jupiter and Kite are estimated to be about 5-6 months old. These brothers have been through a LOT in their short lives, and they have the physical scars to show it. But don’t let that discourage you! These boys are some of the most loving, curious boys you will ever meet!. They are always ready to come out and keep you company. They absolutely love attention and food! (oh boy do they ever love food!)
Jupiter and Kite are both missing a few fingers and toes. Jupiter is also missing about half his tail, but everything has healed over nicely. Kite managed to keep his whole tail in tact, but there is some nerve damage, so the last quarter of his tail droops at a funny angle because he can’t seem to control it at all! It just looks adorable and doesn’t seem to bother him at all.
They need a cage/enclosure that is nice and wide and someone who can cut their fruits and veggies into small manageable pieces so they can hold them easily.
Kite is still on antibiotics to help clear up some lingering infection in his tail wound. He is expected to be completely better and ready for adoption by February 12, 2018
To inquire about adopting these sweet, loving boys, please fill out an adoption application form.
Please note, they can also be adopted with their uncles, Kepler & Leo.
These boys are currently being fostered in Ottawa ON, but will be moved to a foster in Laval, QC come Feb. 12, 2018

Brothers Kepler and Leo have been through a lot and they have the physical scars to prove it. These boys are an estimated 1 to 1.5 years old.
Both Kepler and Leo are missing fingers and toes. Kepler is also missing about half of his tail and there is some heavy scaring on what’s left of it. Leo has some scars on his tail, but managed to keep the whole thing (somehow!) and still has a few stubs for fingers which he uses to expertly hold things.
They need a cage/enclosure that is nice and wide and someone who can cut their fruits and veggies into small manageable pieces so they can hold them easily.
These boys were adopted earlier, but unfortunately returned due to their human adopter’s change in employment situation. They need someone who can be very patient with them, as they are still very nervous about being picked up. You have to move slowly, but steadily with them. Once they are out of their cage, they love to run around on you, and gently sniff your hands, face and clothing.
For now, the boys are looking for an experienced home only.

Meet brothers Clark & Parker who are looking for a loving home together! These boys are still very small and have so much growing to do. They are very friendly, curious and overall just need a loving consistent home to ensure they grow up well.
Both boys love to climb all over their human(s) and love treats such as veggies, bananas and the occasional nut or seed.
If you are interested in offering these baby boys a loving home, please fill out an Adoption Application.

Meet these Fun-loving, active, super social baby girls who are looking for a home together.
Both Jessica J and Mistique are super friendly and love to climb all over anything. Since they are still so young, they rarely stay still! They do love their people, and their favourite thing to do is climb all over you.
Please note, these sister must stay together and need a large cage where they can play, bounce and continue to grow. They can also be adopted with Spidey & Jubilee or Emma Frost, Storm (mom) & Jean Grey.
Please fill out an adoption application form to inquire.

Meet Spidey & Jubilee. Fun-loving, active, super social baby girls who are looking for a home together.
Spidey definitely lives up to her name as she has always been the most active and agile of all her siblings. Even when she was just a few day old, she was pulling herself along while her mom struggled to keep her contained. Now that she’s grown up a lot more, she’s become a true acro-rat. Jubilee is a little less active, but she keeps up with her sister just fine.
Please note, these sister must stay together and need a large cage where they can play, bounce and continue to grow. They can also be adopted with Jessica Jones & Mistique or Emma Frost, Storm (mom) & Jean Grey.
Please fill out an adoption application form to inquire.

This mother-daughter trio is looking for a loving home where they will be able to stay together.
Storm (right) was only 2 or 3 months old when she was dropped off extremely pregnant at a pound in Montreal. Thankfully, with the help of a few volunteers, we were able to make room for her and her 12 babies.
Storm is the sweetest, friendliest girl you will ever meet, and her daughters, who have all already caught up to her in size are very similar.
Do you have a special place in your heart for these beautiful girls?
Please note, these three must stay together and need a large cage where they can play, bounce and continue to grow.
Please fill out an adoption application form to inquire.

The first of the Super Hero babies to be adopted!
These brothers have found a home.
Meet inseparable brothers Stallone (“Squeaky”) and Van Damme.
These two friendly, curious boys unfortunately waited months at a dog pound in Montreal before they were transferred to us for a better chance at adoption.
As per their foster dad: “Both are still fidgety and get scared of sudden movements or unusual noises, but are very friendly and sociable. Squeaky loves being pat on the top of his head, and Van Damme likes to burrow into your shirt. You might need to get these two adopted ASAP because they’re already starting to grow on me.”
If you think your home is right for the continued socialization for these two sweeties, please fill out our online adoption application form.
Please note, these two are being fostered in Montreal, QC. Transport can be arranged to Ottawa, ON for adoption.

Are you looking for a pair of hilarious, friendly, super hand-tame boys who will take every and any opportunity to climb up into your arms?
If so, then look no further! Riley and Chip are a bonded pair of brothers who could not be any more social. They live for out-times and love nothing more than when their humans come by to say hello.
Imagine, tiny rat-sized puppies staring at you from behind a crate door: this is exactly Chip and Riley any time you walk by the cage and DON’T stop to say “hi”.
Riley is neutered as he had some hormonal issues, but has now settled down and is a lot calmer. They are still best going to a home without any other rats or small animals. Please note, their adoption fee is $100.
To inquire about Riley and Chip, please fill out an online application form.

Willy & Gulliver were originally surrender to the Rescue because they were supposed to be extremely bitey. Well, after spending a few months at the Rescue, we can confirm that both boy are friendly, super curious & cute as a button. Not only that, other then the occasional curious nibble of your finger nail, they have not bitten anyone!
These boys are an estimated 6-8 months old and are absolutely bonded to each other. They aren’t exactly the cuddling type, because they would much rather race to the cage door to see who gets to come out and explore first.
If you are interested in giving Willy & Gulliver a loving forever home, please fill out an online adoption application form.
