These girls are all in their senior years and were surrendered by their previous owner due to worsening allergies.
Due to some behavioral issues, ongoing health issues, as well as potential future health issues due to their age, we are looking for an experienced home only. If you are unable to give these girls a loving forever home for their golden months, please also consider being a sponsor for their current, and inevitably, their future veterinary costs.
From the top, going clockwise, meet:
Ember (albino – DOB Jan. 2, 2025): Ember was born with an umbilical hernial. It presents as a small lump on her abdomen and does not bother her at all. It is important to handle her gently, and to keep an eye on the bump. If protruding too much it is easy to gently apply soft pressure to push her intestines/protruding organ back into her body cavity. This does not hurt her. While surgical repair was technically possible, it is no longer an option we are considering due to her age and other health issue.
Ember has chronic respiratory infections. She is on twice daily antibiotics and will likely need to remain on them for the rest of her life. We currently spend approximately $60 per month on her medication (not including any exam fees that may be required). If you would like to sponsor Ember, please visit the Donate Page and put in the message that you would like to help with Ember’s medication.
Nova (Dark Grey – DOB Jan. 4, 2025): Nova is very shy, but can be sweet once she trusts you. And you’d never guess she’s the second eldest of this group. Unfortunately, Nova is also cage aggressive, meaning that while she is in her cage, she will try to bite you if she feels threatened, surprised or defensive. Outside of the cage, she’s a sweetheart and you can trust her on your chest, on your shoulder or even in your sweater and she would never think to bite. Their amazing fosters have worked out ways to safely pick up Nova from the cage without being bitten and all it takes is some patience and some built up trust.
Birch (Grey and White – DOB Oct. 27, 2024): Birch is the baby of the group, even if she’s the second oldest. She is a complete sweetie, 10 out of 10, perfect lady. Zero issues.
Moose (Brown – DOB Sept. 17, 2024): The eldest of this crew, Moose is one hefty girl. She is a chunky squish and loves nothing more than cuddling and snacking. At her age, we are not trying to put her on a diet or anything. Other than being a bit chubby, Moose is also in great health, with no behavioral issues.
We would ideally like to find these 4 girls a forever home all together as requested by their previous owner. However, we are willing to adopt them out in pairs, if the right applicant comes along.
To inquire more about these four special ladies, either to adopt them, or to help support their ongoing care, please feel free to reach out to us.
Thank you!
